Cioccoshow 2013

photo 1(2)

Almost every weekend there is a different event occurring in Bologna, and Piazza Maggiore, one of the most popular locations within the city, usually hosts these functions.  This past 13-17 November was the annual Cioccoshow and chocolate venders from across Italy (as well as some foreign venders from nearby European countries) came to the heart of Bologna to sell their chocolate creations ranging from bars, fruits, cakes, fondues, truffles, cannolis, etc. There were also chocolate figurines such as construction gear, shoes, cell phones, sea shells, and animals. On Saturday I went to the festival and bought chocolate bars as holiday gifts to send to friends and family.  It was a great event that not only displayed what Italian chocolate venders had to offer, but also created a space of entertainment and leisure within the city.
